Meaningless Architecture; m(a), 2026, a seasonal architectural practice by Myunghyun Lee
Myunghyun is a Korean American artist, architect, and poet with a BArch from the Pratt Institute (see academic work here)
Meaningless Architecture is situated between art and architecture, believing that they are inseparable from each other. Myunghyun’s work draws from an Asian history and sensibility seemingly forgotten or overlooked in the discourse of art and architecture. Before art was put in museums, Asian cultures practiced art by intimately weaving it into our everyday lives. Art was found in the paintings on folding screens, poetry on teacups, or the shadows that fill a traditional home. With Meaningless, Myunghyun makes stories, objects, and spaces to forge meaningful connection between people and their environments.
