an nyc residence for artists/students/creatives 
a project by michael lee + ehecatl rivera
a place that breaks down the scale of the city. 
for artists / creatives /pratt students to have a place to live and practice.

to take ideas and concepts from a fictional, idealized project [immeuble villas] and adapt it to an urban context and strip it of its excessive nature.

a unit for two / four people that enables people to live + work alone/in pairs. intended to bring light + air through
unit is split in thirds [air/living/light]

they come together to form a structure that squeezes into the site, long building that snakes through the site to create five courtyards. These courtyards will be designated [2 public / 3 private] 
a side that it shows the public + a side it only reveals itself to its occupants.
